Since I was the son and grandson of Parisian retailers first in household appliances and afterwards in shaving supplies, I decided to eventually follow in their footsteps. I received my degree in Marketing in 1980 and decided to pursue a career with a large American multinational corporation.  Then in 1991, eager for greater fulfillment and challenge I joined and took over the reins of the family business.

I rethought the approach to shaving and considered a whole new concept: that shaving should be a matter for a specialist.

Launched in 1966, our business was essentially located in the large Paris department stores. But this situation needed to be changed. It was a question of how to migrate from a small impersonal location to a “showcase” boutique, with an air of exclusiveness, yet personal and welcoming.  That was my dream.

And so was created our wonderful boutique on rue de Clichy in the 9^th arrondissement of Paris.

In 2001, to celebrate our 35th anniversary, Planete Rasoir revamped its image.

Today, as shaving specialists, we are in the enviable position to offer you everything to make your shaving experience, be it electric or safety razor, the best it can be. We can also offer you a large selection of skin, hair and of course facial care products exclusively for men.

Since we are experts in the art and science of shaving, and devoted to our work, we can listen to your concerns, answer your questions and provide you with the most sensible advice.
